I like the method for raising and lowering the router in the base. It seems like a solid product. Seems well made. The wrenches work well.
You need to slow the router down on hardwoods to prevent burning. Why did they miss the variable speed. I really wanted to buy this router but went with the Bosch 1618evs. I own several Milwaukee tools and find them to be of excellent quality and design.
I have only had this router for a month or so now, but so far everything has been working smoothly and I am impressed with the quality of all the Milwaukee tools I have so far. I bought this router based on its high praise and it has lived up to all the acclaim.
Seems everyone was impressed with it. Smooth, powerful, and fun to use. I bought this router after reading alot of reviews about it. So am I.
Each of these routers have outstanding features, but the one I would rate over all is the Milwaukee D and the Body comfort models. When it comes to control these two routers give the feeling of complete control over what you are doing. I have several routers (Proter Cable, Hatachi, Bosch, DeWalt and Ryobi) ranging in Hp from 1 1/2 - 3 1/4. The startup is smooth and the power is above average.I would recommend both of these routers highly.Well done Milwaukee.
